Procurement Assistant

**Engage Recruitment** are looking for a **Procurement Assistant** to join our client's team in Llansamlet.
**Experience and Main duties**:
- Office Administration
- Purchasing within an engineering environment
- Logistics of items shipped overseas
- Relationship building with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance and compliance
- Checking products are delivered on time and against specification
- Updating databases
- Action and report all stock issues: damages, discrepancies
- Look for process improvements to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Processing and checking of supplier invoices, proof of delivery and purchase orders.
- Continuously control and ensure appropriate stock levels of all items
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all items
- Ownership of weekly/fortnightly stocktakes
**Person skills**:
- Strong Team Player
- Have great attention to detail and accuracy
- Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Sage experience very beneficial
- Microsoft office in particular experience in using Excel
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
**Salary and working hours**:
Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:00 and Friday 08:00 - 14:00
£24000 - £28000 depending on experience.
