You will be part of the Allocate Team which is currently 9 staff (increasing to 19 following investment) and comprises of two main areas, HealthRoster and HealthMedics.

The systems we support include HealthRoster, HealthMedics and SafeCare among others. They are vital for safe patient care, workforce efficiencies, efficient rostering of all staffing levels, integration and visibility of non-medical and medical staff, capacity and demand planning, scheduling and reporting.

They will also maintain the HR Systems by undertaking data cleansing/comparing data from different sources to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy, ensuring robust mechanisms are in place to protect the integrity of data within the Allocate Systems.

This post resides in the HealthRoster part of the team focusing generally on non medical staff, though in time the scope will increase to cover all Allocate systems. The role is a mixture of working within the team based at Cobalt and working from home, though due to the nature of the role is predominantly office based.

You will provide and receive complex information and where barriers to understanding exist due to the technical nature of the information you will need to assist end users on their understanding.

You will need to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, complex data quality issues with staff within and outside the Trust.

A degree of empathy will be required when communicating to service users reasons why the systems are not performing as expected and impacting on services.

You will input and process information in accordance with agreed procedures and/or processes. Responding to enquiries from customers and data providers.

You will maintain the systems undertaking data cleansing/comparing data from different sources to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

To work in close collaboration with managers and staff to provide first line support in the form of a help desk, assisting staff with both straight forward and more complex queries. Post-holder must be adaptable as they may be required to provide holiday/sickness cover for other staff within the
team.

In addition to those already mentioned the post holder will also be expected to:
Provide first line support to all staff who use the Trust's HR Systems, in particular you will be focused on HealthRoster (initially)

Assist users with any System access issues such as training enquiries, system errors and password resets.

Maintain systems by ensuring accurate data entry and undertake data cleansing as and when required.

Have a broad understanding of the various elements of HealthRoster in order to assist managers and staff with queries and issues relating to the use of HealthRoster. These can vary from straightforward to very complex.

Build effective relationships with other teams such as Recruitment and Payroll to ensure best practise is followed.

Be accurate and consistent in your work to ensure the quality of data held in the system.
