**HR Officer - Brent - Secondary School - ASAP Start**
A successful Brent Secondary School are seeking a HR Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful HR Officer will work Monday - Friday, 36 hours a week. This is a full-time roe working 35 hours week. The successful HR office should be available ASAP and have previous school HR and payroll experience.

**About the role**:
The successful HR Officer will support the Head of HR to ensure that a smooth service is provided to their busy professional staff in the following areas:
- Permanent & Temporary staff. Ensure that all records are up-to-date and accurate
- Reception cover and post management (support the reception team with lunch breaks)
- Payroll: support with the preparation of payroll
- Coordinate the training, development and support to staff in the above areas
- Reduce the paper consumption and put paper records online as a matter of urgency
- Negotiate and ensure that the recruitment costs via agency are approved by the Director of Resources
- Ensure that the school is meeting all legal and statutory requirements regarding the areas mentioned above in, maintain awareness of what these legal requirements are and seek external legal advice on these areas where appropriate
- Ensure that the single central record is maintained and kept up to date as required and that they are set up to pass Ofsted on the single central record and fulfil legal requirements on safeguarding and safer recruitment.
- To undertake general duties, administration and any reasonable task as directed by the Line Manager or Headteacher and to carry out such other tasks as are essential to fulfil the job’s core purpose
