We are looking for a Computer Officer working with the Information Services second line team based at the BioQuarter campus.

**The Opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity to be part of the Information Services team based in the Chancellors Building at the BioQuarter in the south of Edinburgh. Working with a dynamic team providing a wide range of IT services for the College of Medicine. This post will allow you to develop your IT skills in a challenging and unique environment with new support and service requirements being presented daily. We cover all areas through the primary programmes of Learning and Teaching, Business and Research with each area requiring different skills and learning. The team covers support for Information Services over the Edinburgh CMVM campuses including the BioQuarter, central George Square and Morningside sites.

We are looking for a team player who is prepared to work collectively and bring their own unique opportunities to the team.

**Your skills and attributes for success:
- Supporting Windows 10 Operating System.
- Developed communication skills in understanding information provided and to action upon it to reach a satisfactory solution.
- Understanding of how to triage effectively and efficiently, preferably in a ticketing system.
- Must be to deal effectively with a wide variety of staff and visitors.
- Be able to work as part of a large team.

- Help Services providing frontline help across all IS-managed services at the Main Library and Site libraries.
- Operational Services running the IS Helpline for all IS-managed services and providing expert IT support and service delivery on desktop and personal computing.
- Library Academic Support, responsible for advice and consultancy on all library services and providing regular liaison and review with each of the Schools.
- IT Consultancy, responsible for advice and consultancy on all IT services and providing regular liaison and review with each of the Schools.
- Relationship Management, responsible for maintaining an ongoing level of engagement between the University community and Information Services Group (ISG) on all IT services with regular liaison and review with each of the Schools/Units.
