**About The Role**

We are looking to recruit six enthusiastic, committed and experienced EHC Case Officers to join our EHC Assessment & Review Team. The service has undergone a rapid transformation, and we are looking for proactive individuals to join us in moving forward with our continuous improvement to ensure positive outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

**About The Team You’ll Be Working In**

The post holder will be part be part of the Assessment & Review Team and will undertake the statutory requirements under the C&F Act 2014 in relation to assessments and reviews of Education, Health and Care Plans. You will draft and/or amend EHC plans, identifying key aspects of the professional advice and summarising in line with the legislation, SEND Code of Practice and council policy.

The post holder will maintain an active caseload, develop and maintain positive professional working relationships with our partners and working in a co-productive approach with families, education settings, health, and social care services, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

The post holder will engage and build respectful, transparent, and effective relationships with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disability, their families, education settings, and work across multiple agencies to ensure the needs of those with special educational needs are met.

**About You**

1.At least 18 months direct experience of working within a Local Authority’s Special Educational Needs Team

2.Significant and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of legislation and guidance, policy and procedures in relation to SEN and Disability procedures

3.Demonstrably good organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing demands and meet deadlines within timescales

4.Able to write Education, Health and Care Plans that are legally compliant and to a high standard

5.Good communication skills and being able to provide clear, concise and effective written and verbal communication.

6.Be able to act on your own initiative after receiving appropriate direction

7.The desire and commitment to strive for the best in your work and for the children and young people with an EHCP.

8.Enhanced DBS check is required.
