Bristol, United Kingdom OVO Energy Full time

**We're making zero carbon happen**

We're OVO Group, a big family of companies united by a single vision: to get to zero carbon, fast.

We call this Plan Zero - and it shows how we'll be fighting the climate crisis and transforming the way people use energy over the next decade. To do this, we need the sharpest minds. Are you up for the challenge?

**Do great green things with OVO Energy**

So much has changed since we launched in 2009. Our goal remains the same though: make energy cheaper, greener, and simpler. Just as it was on day one.

**Everyone belongs at OVO**

Our aim is to build a diverse and inclusive movement: teams of brilliant people, with unique talents, skills, passions, and experiences.

We encourage everyone to join us, whatever your gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, life experience, or background. So please come as you are - we can't wait to meet you.

**Where in the world of OVO will I be working?**

You will be reporting to the VP of Operations. You will head up the Change Enablement function and lead the agile transformation for OVO (the 'OVO Way of Organising').

You will work across OVO to enable the roll out and maturity of our five new enterprise wide value streams as well as create an organisational cultural shift to a new way of working.

**What will I be doing?**

You will be leading a team of ~15 to create the movement to deliver the 'OVO Way', creating an enterprise wide cultural shift in both mindset and how teams work.

You will be working closely with the COO leadership team, coaching and supporting leaders in adopting this new way of working and organising.

You will thrive in high levels of ambiguity, being able to sense and respond to the changing environment, with excellent levels of empathy, to be able to meet teams where they currently are and navigate them through to a new way of working.

You will lead the team who are working directly with the value streams and functions, creating a framework for autonomy on how this is delivered.

You will be comfortable in exec level forums, and an excellent communicator and be able to inspire others through storytelling.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and delivering the strategy for creating and developing value streams, once established, ensuring they are continuously focussing on value.
- Developing and delivery of the strategy for, and creating a movement around the 'OVO Way of organising'.
- Developing and iterating on the OVO Way Framework as an open source framework, including;
- Developing the framework around key meeting cadences (including agile team ceremonies and big room planning)
- Architecting how the organisation support cross function/value stream coordination/visibility
- Establishing ways of working and alignment with partnering functions such as CX and Tech.
- Leading the transformation across the organisation in scaling agile ways of working and supporting the movement to an evolutionary organisation.
- Supporting and challenging those leading our value streams with the set up and ongoing structures of their value streams to ensure maximum value delivery.
- Owning and coordinating the annual calendar across value streams (PI Planning events, priotisation forums etc).
- Role modeling leadership as a coach to achieving outcomes.
- Aligning the Change Enablement team around a common purpose, whilst continuously role modeling the culture we want to create.
- Surfacing the enterprise backlog across the value streams and ensuring constant transparency and visibility across value streams and functions.
- Developing and ensuring there is a consistent narrative on the 'OVO way' in conjunction with the people team, ensuring it fits with our strategic direction.
- Developing a tactical strategy on capabilities and upskilling to support the OVO way for both our leadership population and those delivering in an agile way.
- Supporting those leading Value Streams in developing capability needs and ongoing value stream structures.
- Ensure we have a consistent, common language when discussing the value of outcomes and are able to link projected value to benefits realised.
- Creating an equal voice across the organisation allowing anyone to be able to influence change.

**Is this the job for me?**

Ideally you will have:

- Experience in implementing agile frameworks within an operational environment.
- Extensive change leadership experience.
- Enjoy working with significant ambiguity, supporting teams in being flexible in the face of changing priorities and requirements.
- Exceptional ability to lead, coach leadership populations.
- Ability to lead the way in thought leadership, bringing new concepts and evolutionary ways of working into teams.
- Ability to influence through relationship building and storytelling.
