**Play Worker (temporary contract 3-6 months)**

**Looking for an immediate start for up to 3 staff members will be based at Twinkle Star, Willows High School, required to have CCLD minimum level 3 or working towards.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- 1. The role involves ensuring a safe and age-appropriate environment for all children in compliance with CIW regulations.
- 2. The responsibility includes providing stimulating and diverse play activities for all children.
- 3. Collaborating with the playgroup team to develop and assess activities is essential.
- 4. Providing equal opportunities for all children and parents who use the playgroup is a key task.
- 5. Adhering to the ethos of Flying Start childcare through daily practice, planning, and attitude is necessary.
- 6. Completing all required paperwork as per council, Flying Start, and CIW guidelines is a requirement.
- 7. Maintaining confidentiality of information regarding children and their families is crucial.
- 8. Participating in training and staff development is important.
- 9. Safeguarding staff, children, and families in accordance with council and service guidance and policy is a responsibility.
- 10. Being flexible to work across all Flying Start Parenting groups and daycare settings as needed is expected.

**Education and Training**
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (CCLD) OR working towards a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (CCLD), with evidence that there is a projected completion date within 18 months
- First Aid qualification.
- Food Hygiene
- Welsh Speaking

**Experience / Knowledge**
- Proven experience of working with babies and/or children under age 5
- Experience of contributing to effective teamwork
- Experience of following safeguarding procedures to protect children and families
- Experience of working in a Flying Start childcare setting
- Experience of working with children who have individual/additional needs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £11.79 per hour

Expected hours: 33.50 per week
