About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Adoption Team at Barnardo's. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting and improving the outcomes of children and families within our service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and assessing prospective and approved adoptive parents. You will also provide pre and post placement support to families, including further training for adoptive parents to meet the assessed needs of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and assess prospective and approved adoptive parents
  • Provide pre and post placement support to families
  • Develop and implement training programs for adoptive parents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered with Care Inspectorate Wales and have a strong understanding of the Adoption Service. You will also need to be passionate about supporting and improving the outcomes of children and families.
