**Job Summary**

**Brighton College Prep School is seeking a School Secretary and PA to Deputies, to start ideally on 23 August or soon after.**

This responsible and confidential position provides secretarial support for the Deputy Heads located at the Nursery & Pre-Prep site alongside administrative support as the School Secretary. The role requires an enthusiastic person with a genuine love of children and excellent communication skills. The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the school office. They will need to be a confident, ‘people-person’, able to work on their own initiative with excellent planning and organisational skills. The role will suit a hard-working, positive and flexible person who is willing to handle tasks ranging from the urgent and highly confidential to more regular administrative tasks.

- Efficient and organised.
- Highly capable in prioritising tasks in a busy working environment.
- Strong project management skills and experience in planning and implementing projects.
- Highly self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills - comfortable dealing with staff, parents and pupils.
- Experience in ‘front-of-house’ tasks, e.g: telephone calls and in-person queries.
- Experience in data management and manipulation.
- Flexible member of a team, willing to assist across all aspects of school administration.
- Friendly and personable in character.
- Respect for the confidential nature of the work.
- Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative.

**Hours of Work**
- The post-holder will work 38 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.00/5.30pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunchbreak, Monday to Friday inclusive.
- Some flexibility with start and finish times will be required.
- This role will work during term-time (35 weeks per year) plus an additional four weeks.

**Holidays**:

- Annual leave entitlement is included in the salary for this role.
- Holidays should be taken outside of the working weeks
