Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality alterations and tailoring services to our customers. Your attention to detail and expertise in garment construction will ensure that each customer receives a perfectly tailored garment that fits their individual style and preferences.
**Duties**:
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of clothing, including pants, shirts, dresses, suits, and jackets
- Take accurate measurements to ensure precise fitting
- Sew, hem, and stitch garments using appropriate sewing techniques and equipment
- Customize garments according to customer requests, such as adding or removing buttons, zippers, or embellishments
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific alteration needs and provide expert advice on garment fit and style
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies when needed
**Experience**:
- Proven experience as a Tailor or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques and alteration methods
- Proficient in using sewing machines, sergers, and other tailoring tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and stitching
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively
