Embrace Excellence
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Stock Planning team at The Macallan Estate. The primary responsibility of this role is to schedule operations in line with the plan set by the Operational Stock Planning Manager. Essential duties include planning and organising logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments at The Macallan site, data entry, and providing general administrative support. Collaboration with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including whisky mastery, group warehouse teams, and Macallan cooperage, is a key aspect of the job.
Make an Impact
Reporting to the Operational Stock Planning Manager, key responsibilities include;
- Allocate operations on the stock system for Macallan and other group sites.
- Create and distribute operational paperwork with clear instructions in line with agreed timescales.
- Generate empty wood reports for the operations and cooperage teams' utilisation.
- Generate inter-warehouse movements to enable tanker despatches.
- Coordinate with external suppliers to secure the most efficient transportation for stock movements.
- Ensure all cask movements to company locations are completed promptly to facilitate operations.
- Manage the administrative tasks involved in updating information within key documents, such as the Vatting Plan and the Operations Plan.
- Raise sample requests for relevant work-streams in line with agreed timescales.
- Provide re-location instructions for racking’s.
- Provide relevant instructions to operations and cooperage team trials.
- Monitor mature operations samples to ensure timely delivery for vatting and bottling operations/tankers.
- Ensure that the vatting volumes are sufficient for the bottling supply.
- Maintenance and precise data entry into all pertinent systems and plans.
- Provide general administrative support and holiday cover to the broader Operational Stock Planning team.
Your Talent and Skills

To be successful in this role, you have excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively with high attention to detail. Highly proficient in use of MS Office systems. Ability to interact and communicate confidently with cross-functional teams. Previous planning experience would be advantageous.-Applications close 12th June 2024*
