**Education Centre Coordinator Band 3**: Education Centre, Horton General Hospital

Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 13:00

We are looking to recruit a committed individual to support the Medical Education team based at the Horton General Hospital.

You must be able to use your own initiative, organise your own workload, convey written and verbal information accurately and demonstrate excellent communication skills. You will be required to interact with staff at all levels.
- To be responsible for meeting and greeting people at the Centre.
- To be responsible for the setting up of meeting rooms within the Centre.
- To lead on all AV/ equipment queries and procurement and have a good understanding of technical equipment and its set up.
- To order stock using the Trust Procurement software.
- To be responsible for sourcing and managing the room bookings system including: - To take all room bookings for the Horton Education Centre and occasionally covering holidays for the Oxford Education Centre Coordinators ether in person or remotely.
- displaying the day’s meetings
- checking users’ requirements against availability and the practicalities of the room
- maintaining a supply of training materials in the rooms eg flip chart paper, pens etc
- To produce and maintain the desk instructions/handbooks for the Education Centre Coordinator’s post.
- Process, store and send invoices to Finance.

The Trust is responsible for the training of training grade junior doctors and educational supervisors (consultants) to ensure that the requirements of the Royal Colleges and General Medical Council (GMC) are met. There are around 900 training grade junior doctors within the Trust, 200 of these on the Foundation Programme and 500 educational supervisors. In addition, there are over 200 locally employed junior doctors who share the same rota as the training grade junior doctors and share many of the same experiences as this group. Both the training grade junior doctors and educational supervisors are located at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Horton General Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and in the community such as in General Practice and Public Health Medicine.
1 Centre Support
- To be responsible for meeting and greeting people at the Centre.

- To assist with the Women’s Health, Basic Airways and Trainer the Trainer, Medical Registrar Courses.
- To request and collate Trainer of the Month nominations from Junior Doctors.
- To update the Departmental Careers Leads information for the Centres’ webpage.

- To act as the Fire Marshall for the department.
