The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea manages two of the most important house museums in London: Leighton House, the former studio-house of the Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton; and Sambourne House, home of the legendary illustrator Linley Sambourne and a rare example of the 'House Beautiful' style of the late nineteenth century. Having recently completed an £8 million refurbishment of Leighton House, we now offer an improved visitor experience across both museum sites.

**The Role**:
If you have experience in customer service and a passion for arts and culture, you could be part of our enthusiastic team of staff and volunteers. You’ll welcome people to these two unique and inspiring heritage environments, engaging visitors and ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience. It’s a role that offers exposure to every aspect of running a heritage attraction, from online ticketing to curatorial work, stocking a museum shop to managing health and safety issues.

**About You**:
This is an entry-level role but some experience of working in customer service is essential. If you’ve studied arts, culture or history, so much the better. Highly organised with precise attention to detail, you’ll have good IT skills and a willingness to learn. You must be able to prioritise your own workload and work as part of a team. Good written and spoken communication skills are essential.
