Front of House Receptionist

We are currently looking for a part-time Receptionist to join our Customer Services Team based at St Peter's Hospital. The hours of work are 3.00pm to 6.00pm - Monday to Friday.
You will be required to support the busy Main Reception Desk at St Peter's Hospital, which is located in the Main Outpatients Building.
You will play a key role in supporting the Customer Services Department and the Hospital in carrying out the job role in a professional and polite manner.
Main elements of the job are to deal with tasks such as patient location queries, appointment queries, giving site directions, liaising with visitors and company representatives.
You must have strong communication skills, be good at problem solving skills and the awareness for the need of good customer care and confidentially at all times.

Meet and greet patients and visitors in a polite and courteous manner, dealing with queries and referring to other staff and departments, as appropriate whilst strictly adhering to patient confidentiality.
To work closely with the Volunteers to form a good working relationship to ensure that patients and visitors are directed/escorted to specific destinations.
To assist patients and in resolving basic queries.
To assist with general patient enquiries via Cerner System (SSC) (where patient is ward or clinic).
To log and sign for courier deliveries and advise the relevant recipient to request collection (not personal deliveries).
To facilitate requests from trust staff to book the meeting rooms in Chertsey House via Microsoft Calendars.
To assist the Audiology Department in issuing of batteries to its patients, ensuring the correct documentation is provided and completed.
To issue parking tickets outside of normal working hours ensuring that the correct protocols issued by Transport Administrator are adhered to at all times.
To report estates, housekeeping and telecoms issues/faults to the Facilities Helpdesk and recorded.
To maintain and up to date knowledge on the site, department, clinic locations in an ever changing environment.
To be responsible for ensuring that the front of house area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Any other duties as required by request of the Customer Services Manager.
