Honiton, United Kingdom Nu-Heat - Underfloor Heating and Renewables Full time

**Role Description**:

- In this role you will be responsible for the management of allocated suppliers of products to the business.
- You will be accountable for ensuring that the right levels of stock are in place to ensure we maintain our OTIF customer delivery performance.
- You will be responsible for driving down product cost through effective contract management, negotiation & continuous improvement.
- You will work closely with the Development team to ensure new products are designed for ease of manufacture to ensure that we are able to purchase products at the right/best price to protect & increase profit margins.
- You will responsible for maintaining & updating the inventory records for purchased items within NetSuite.
- You will propose, manage & deliver annual product & services cost down initiatives and set and deliver cost down targets.
- You will support the Development team to ensure that the product meets or exceeds required quality & performance levels.

Effective management of allocated new & existing suppliers.

Drive down product cost through contract management, negotiation & continuous improvement.

Effectively on board new suppliers.

Ensure accuracy of inventory records for purchased items within CRM.

**Activities**

**Supplier Management**
- Effectively manage all existing & new suppliers.
- Identify key/strategic suppliers & build close working relationships to ensure Product is high quality, delivered on time at the right price.
- Establish & maintain Product Purchasing Profile with all key suppliers.
- Identify & effectively on board new suppliers.
- Whenever possible identify at least 2 suppliers for critical products.

**Stock Management**
- Maintain & update inventory records for purchased items.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure we have the correct levels/ mix of stock to maintain our OTIF% to our customers.
- Accurately forecast & monitor stock value.
- Escalation point for Fulfilment customer support team in relation to supply issues.
- Coordinate with distribution team to ensure safe & proper storage of all Products.
- Order Stock when required.
- Identify & source from alternative Suppliers when 1st choice Supplier cannot meet demand or Quality requirements.

**New Product Development**
- Select the best Supplier to supply new products based upon quality, cost & delivery and group policy
- Establish Product purchasing profile for new products and update NetSuite accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with Product Development team to ensure new Products are designed for manufacture & meet our specification.
- Where possible always have a 2nd source for New Products.

**Product Cost Management**
- Drive product cost down through contract management & negotiation.
- Improve Product Quality & reduce cost through continuous improvement activities with key suppliers.
- Deliver annual cost down targets.

**Contribute to Company Development**
- Actively improve customer satisfaction by answering incoming calls within 3 rings
- Participate in the overall development of the company by supporting initiatives within the strategic roadmap as required.
- Identify personal development needs and undertake any necessary training.
- Where applicable, support colleagues in the achievement of their own business objectives.

**Key Skills & Knowledge**:

- Ideally qualified to a minimum of CIPS Level 3 or able & willing to be trained.
- Hands on experience of MRP NetSuite or similar CRM packages.
- Good understanding of heating, engineering and plumbing Products is desirable but not essential
- The ability to estimate what something should cost.
