We are looking for a Caseworker to join our Family and Young Persons Team.

Working within Middlesbrough Council, our team helps those experiencing problems with substance use, domestic abuse, and homelessness.

This role will involve:

- Coordinating a caseload of families where substance use is present._
- Delivering a range of interventions including brief advice, harm reduction and other psychosocial interventions._
- Delivering hidden harm interventions/linking in with the Young Persons workers to facilitate delivery. These may be delivered on a 1-1 basis, in a group setting, with the whole family or remotely._
- Working closely with key stakeholders such as social care and schools to ensure support packages are holistic and effective._

To be successful in this role you will need to be dynamic and creative in your approach. You will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of a diverse range of people, working around work/education schedules and other barriers that may prevent our clients from accessing mainstream services. Any previous experience working with families would be an asset to this role but is not essential. Similarly, an understanding of substance use is desirable but not essential. If you have transferable skills and are willing to learn, we encourage you to apply.

If successful, you will be provided with a robust learning and development plan.

Due to the nature of this role, it is also required that you will have a full UK driving licence, access to your own car and that you will procure business insurance prior to starting your role.
