The Faculty of Music seeks to appoint a part-time New Music Co-ordinator from 1 October 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Oxford’s Music Faculty is one of the largest and liveliest music departments in the country, and an internationally renowned centre of musical teaching and research. The New Music Co-ordinator provides dedicated, specialist support to the Faculty’s New Music Convenors (currently Professor Martyn Harry and Professor Jennifer Walshe) in the effective planning and organisation of Faculty-run activities relating to newly composed and contemporary music activities linked to compositional research and the composition syllabus at both undergraduate and graduate level, including concerts, workshops, lecture series, and other events.

The position will be part-time at 0.5 FTE working term time only (Weeks 0-9) on a fixed-term basis for 3 years.

The post holder will be based at the Faculty of Music as their normal place of work.
