We are pleased to share an opportunity to join Flagship Group’s Samphire Housing Team, as a Housing Officer. The role is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This role is working in one of Samphire Housing’s patches. This area includes Ipswich, Diss, Bury St. Edmunds, Newmarket, Cambridge, Eley, Thetford and surrounding areas. The role comes with Agile Working and Flexible Working will be considered.

We’re looking for a natural problem solver with a genuine interest in making a positive difference to where people live and the community. If so, we are recruiting a customer-focused individual to join us as a Housing Officer.

Housing Officers are the face of Samphire Homes; being out in our communities and reacting to our tenants’ needs will be the role’s key focus. Our supportive and proactive approach helps tenants to sustain their tenancy. You’ll need to be a great communicator who can listen to and understand our customer’s needs. You’ll need to be able to problem solve quickly and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for someone with a housing background who is able to build great working relationships with our tenants and team members is essential; we are looking for people with a passion for providing excellent customer service.

This role will support be working with our Housing Officer team across the Samphire geography. Any office-based tasks will be at our Bury St. Edmunds. If you have any questions about the secondment opportunity contact Helen Marjoram.

You’ll possess the following skills and experience;
Ø Experience in providing support and advice to customers.

Ø Managing your own workload and prioritisation.

Ø Practical experience in a similar role, either within housing.

Ø Understanding when to make a referral, i.e., for Anti-Social behaviour or safeguarding.

Ø Work well as part of a team and have the ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

It is essential you hold a full UK driving licence.
