You will be part of a highly responsive and “whole family” approach community service team, which will primarily support citizens with additional needs and their families to access a wide range of meaningful social, leisure and recreational activities which increase self-confidence, improve health & wellbeing and develops good communication and social skills

Utilising your own effective communication skills, you will be an initial first point of contact for information about the services available, respond to community enquiries and manage the booking system and the case management system regarding the scheduling of activities and connected staffing rota

Collecting and collation of service specific forms and updating relevant spreadsheets and reports.

Working alongside colleagues, you will support the promotion of the services via our website, newsletter, social media and outreach work.

You will help promote our health & wellbeing activities to new families, individuals, partner organisations and other relevant stakeholders in Birmingham and at times across the West Midlands.

You will support the Community Café with the ordering of stock and the monitoring of the stock-vs-sales and support with the general health and safety checks in the building.
Working with the team and colleagues in the finance department, to collect payments from citizens including the provision of receipts and preparing weekly activity spreadsheets (cash & invoice). Monitoring petty cash and preparing the monthly petty cash report.
You will be required to set up effective systems and processes that the support the efficient administration of the services that are consistent with data capture via our internal database.
As part of Midland Mencap’s team of administrators, at times, you will be responsible for the front of house area ensuring all calls and visitors are dealt with efficiently in a professional, courteous, friendly manner and take full and appropriate messages and pass on to the relevant person in a timely manner.

Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £9.90 per hour
