Assistant Head of Business

The Primary Care & Community Services Division are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, conscientious and experienced individual to join the Division's Management Team as Assistant Head of Business & Performance.
The post holder will support the Head of Business & Performance in leading and delivering a complex and dynamic portfolio of work. This will include a key role in both operational and strategic planning; using and developing data to facilitate informed option appraisal and decision-making; and managing related projects and programmes on behalf of the Division.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The post holder will work to embed effective governance arrangements within the Division, ensuring that organisational structures, information flows and decision-making processes are well aligned. Through management of the Division's Business Support Team, they will assist the Senior Leadership Team in ensuring that the Division's professional, enabling and operational functions all work coherently together..
They will manage the Division's Performance function, enabling the Division to access and interpret timely information for both performance management and planning purposes. They will ensure that, where necessary, new information resources are developed to reflect the business of the Division which will assist in decision-making.
They will be responsible for delivering discreet service change projects and programmes on behalf of the Division, with a particular focus on data and digital workstreams.
The post holder will support the Head of Business & Performance in developing and maintaining strong partnerships and working relationships across the organisation and with external partners. This will include exposure to a wide range of colleagues including directors and senior managers, clinical teams, corporate and capital planning and informatics / information specialists.
