Performance Officer

The Business & Performance Unit are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly skilled, analytical individual to join their Performance team to support operational service delivery through co-ordinating activities that span the Primary Care and Community Division.
You will be required to provide dedicated analytical, planning and project support to each individual directorate; maintaining essential links with corporate services.
You must be able to communicate clearly and knowledgeably in relation to aspects of reporting and engage stakeholders in identifying how information can be utilised in new and innovative ways to enhance service planning, monitoring and delivery.
A key role of the Performance Officer is to support the delivery of an efficient, effective and timely performance service to support the Division, assisting in the building of effective arrangements that develop Primary Care and Community services in line with the Divisional IMTP and via its evolving Transformational Programmes.
In addition, the post-holder will provide support with the development and implementation of co-ordinated Primary Care and Community performance reporting systems that meet the requirements of the Division & facilitates interface within the Locality network & support teams.
The post holder will execute their duties so as to be an efficient and effective contributor to the Business and Performance team.

- To assist the Divisional Performance Manager in delivering all aspects of the Divisional performance objectives.
- As the local expert in all aspects of performance data collection and analysis, ensuring reporting and communication systems exist to share this knowledge with appropriate stakeholders.
- To interpret WG guidance associated targets by developing and ensuring Divisional regular reporting and monitoring processes to achieve and maintain compliance, sharing this with appropriate stakeholders.
- To use appropriate IT systems to produce complex reports, analyse data and create presentations.
- To work closely with clinicians and other staff to share sensitive performance information and make decisions and service improvements based on this.
- To assist in establishing performance targets & monitor through an agreed set of key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- To ensure that important performance information is communicated in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders.
- To work closely with the ABUHB Information Department to develop key performance information to meet the needs of the service ensuring robust data collection and subsequent reporting.
- To attend meetings both internal and external and represent the Division in relation to performance management.
- To contribute to the production of the ABUHB Performance Dashboard regarding the Division’s KPI’s.
- To be key in assisting the Division in the process of monthly and annual service reviews to include preparation of information and act as link with Corporate Performance Team.
- To assist the Head of Business & Performance and Divisional Performance manager in the production and monitoring process on financial plans.
- To assist & lead on specific elements of divisional performance reporting and monitoring including the responsibility for patient-related activity,
- To co-ordinate workforce performance-related information including Mandatory & Statutory Training compliance and annual appraisals etc
- To promote both internally and externally the Division’s work and business.
