**We are looking for a friendly and approachable individual who has the ability to communicate with a wide range of people. We work with a very diverse range of clients including, refugees, asylum seekers, long term unemployed and individuals with complex needs. The role requires a supportive individual who wants to work closely with all who come to us and watch them flourish as volunteers, supporting them on their journey to fulfil their full potential.**

**The Job Description includes**:

- Interview of volunteers referred through DWP and self-referrals
- Induction of volunteers and working with new volunteers to produce an individual plan for placement and skills development, helping volunteers identify their barriers to employment and putting a plan in place to address these barriers.
- Ensure all volunteers undergo initial safeguarding training
- Day-to-day deployment of volunteers, production of their rotas and line management of volunteers, ensuring volunteers are happy and able to fulfil their volunteering role
- Helping ensure all volunteers are deployed appropriately and identify issues with workload
- Support Volunteer Training through delivery of interview skills, and soft skills development sessions
- Work with the skills development and training coordinator to support volunteers to work towards and accredited ASDAN volunteering certificate
- Identify new and relevant internal placements for new and ongoing clients
- Ensure opportunity for weekly supervisions for all volunteers, meeting regularly with volunteers to offer pastoral support and to discuss their placement and to review targets for entering the workplace
- Support client in move on from the placement
- Report to St Francis Employability Management Team in respect of project
- Sourcing training opportunities for volunteers
- Being aware of the local labour market, up and coming events which may help with employment opportunities and pathways into further education/training
- Develop systems for the teams of volunteers to follow to ensure that policies and procedures and health and safety procedures are in place and followed.
- Ensure all volunteers have a specific role induction and continue to work in a safe and appropriate way.
- Ensure a volunteer role description and person specification is in place for all volunteering placements.
- Organise weekly team meetings for staff of the project
- Organise regular meeting so volunteers to enable them to feedback into the project
- Ensure client’s skills development is monitored, identifying achievable targets with each volunteer and monitor performance against these target
- Ensure clients CV is updated and reviewed
- Ensure individual plan for employment is produced for each volunteer
- Ensure monitoring of clients progress using the Outcome stars reporting model
- Ensure exit interviews are conducted with volunteers at the end of their placements
- Working with volunteers to ensure they have a move on plan before they leave St Francis
- Ensure clients are referred into all training opportunities offered by St Francis Employability

**The person appointed to this position will have the following skills and attributes**:

- Excellent knowledge of local jobs market and employers
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent knowledge of and ability to use the Government UJM website
- Excellent written and presentational skills
- Knowledge of employer requirements for employees
- Empathy and ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Ability to work in a methodical and organised way
- Ability to keep good records and extract data from records for reporting purposes

- There will be a requirement that you attended specific training sessions as requested and annually undergo safeguarding training._

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
