We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Coordinator to help us to develop and deliver dynamic and innovative formal and informal learning programmes for our busy schools activity programme and other educational settings.

The BROSE sponsored post of Learning Coordinator for Schools is to work within the Learning and Engagement Team across CV Life to develop and deliver formal and informal learning programmes for schools and other educational settings based on the collections and exhibitions of Coventry Transport Museum and to support the delivery of family learning sessions when required.

Role and Responsibilities:

- To liaise with teachers, schools and colleges to discuss visits, to plan and organise learning activities as well as tailoring a visit in order to meet specific requirements of the school curriculum.
- To create and deliver a range of creative school programmes and learning resources, through a STEM based approach, to ensure an enriching, interactive schools service is regarded as best practice in cultural learning.
- To support the teaching profession in delivering quality Teacher CPD programmes linked to consultation with schools and university courses, catering to teacher education through project based work.
- To present the service through talks, presentations for groups, sector CPD, conferences and network meetings.

Mon - Thurs 8:30-4:30, Fri 8:30-4.

Hours are flexible to suit business needs.

Possiblity of hybrid working on days when onsite delivery is not needed.

**Scope**:
Culture Coventry Trust and Coventry Sports Foundation are operating as CV Life, so that the scope of this Job Description as a CV Life document extends to cover the employment of employment contracts held with either Culture Coventry Trust or Coventry Sports Foundation.

**Overall purpose and objective of the role**:
The BROSE sponsored post of Learning Coordinator for Schools is to work within the Learning and Engagement Team across CV Life to develop and deliver formal and informal learning programmes for schools and other educational settings based on the collections and exhibitions of Coventry Transport Museum and to support the delivery of family learning sessions when required.

**Main Duties of the Role**:

- To liaise with teachers, schools and colleges to discuss visits, to plan and organise learning activities as well as tailoring a visit in order to meet specific requirements of the school curriculum.
- To create and deliver a range of creative school programmes and learning resources, through a STEM based approach, to ensure an enriching, interactive schools service is regarded as best practice in cultural learning.
- To support the teaching profession in delivering quality Teacher CPD programmes linked to consultation with schools and university courses catering to teacher education through project based work.
- To support the Family Learning Officer to develop and deliver holiday activity for children and their families.
- To represent the service through talks, presentations for groups, sector CPD, conferences and network meetings.
- To contribute to the development of the learning and engagement policies and strategies in consultation with external and internal partners; liaising with local and regional schools to extend the learning offer beyond they city of Coventry.
- To disseminate best practice across the sector.
- To work with colleagues to increase the resilience and sustainability of the Trust’s audience engagement activity through developing further opportunities to increase income from all school learning engagement.
- To keep abreast with of initiatives in the wider sector, engaging in specialist projects were necessary and appropriate, sharing and developing practise with team members and other colleagues.
- To work to administrative frameworks to enable the organisation of this area of work, maintaining appropriate records and reports that can be used for future planning and development.
- To train and supervise Casual Learning Assistants as and when the need arises.
- To work to a delegated budget under the guidance of the Head of Learning and Engagement.
- To work with relevant departments to identify appropriate educational opportunities for formal and informal learning programming.
- To support the Family Learning Officer in delivering a high-quality family engagement programme.
- In conjunction with the Marketing Department, produce learning material that supports the service offer, using available forms of media.
