The role

We are delighted to announce that we have a fantastic development opportunity to join our People Development team as a Learning Coordinator. This is a key role in the learning transformation journey within the Talent & Performance and wider people teams. In this role you will also play a critical role in capturing learning requests and completions, helping us to demonstrate the impact learning has on our people and our strategic outcomes.

This role is part of People and Strategy where you'll help us to build a culture and brand that people want to be part of.

What you'll achieve

In this role you will be working with members of the People Development team to deliver on the learning and development plan supporting all business areas.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate and administer all Training and People Development activity across Orbit Group.
  • Managing purchasing and related processes for the facilitation of external Learning requests.
  • Tracking development requests and their spend and reporting this data back to the Head of Learning and Talent Development.
  • Management of the core Learning Management System (LMS) and Coaching Culture Platform. This responsibility includes but is not limited to, course management and authoring, course assignment, reporting, LMS user experience and engagement and continuous improvement of content availability.
  • Support in the delivery of ongoing initiatives to embed a learning and coaching culture, including Learning Festivals and Learning and development roadshows.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for Training & People Development queries

To be successful in this role of Learning Coordinator you will need to have excellent interpersonal and customer facing skills with a proven background or strong administrative and organisational skills. It is also essential that you have:

  • Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task effectively to deliver on promises
  • Ability to problem solve in the moment and come up with creative solutions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst retaining a strong eye for detail
  • A proactive team player who is able to spot opportunities to improve our learning proposition and work with colleagues to develop new solutions
  • A track record of creating and maintaining strong working relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues, both on-site and remotely

Desirable skills

  • Has worked with or closely on a learning delivery project
  • Experience of working in a learning and development environment
  • Project Management Experience
  • Learning and Development qualification
