SF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for our Derby based client who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for expediting orders to maintain the required delivery dates. The Purchasing Assistant will work closely with all departments across the company, ensuring a smooth purchasing process. This is a full time office based role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Checking and obtaining purchase order acknowledgements and updating systems.
- Raise and book in purchase orders as and when required.
- Chasing suppliers for delivery dates.
- General housekeeping of supplier's orders.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Respond to all internal and external purchasing and stock related enquiries.
- To manage, maintain and improve the working relationships with suppliers.
- General purchasing administration duties
- Assist with other admin/accounts duties.
