Purchasing Administrator

TW Engineering is a manufacturer and supplier of hand tools and consumables to some of the UK’s largest utility companies in the telecoms, gas, water and power generation/distribution sectors. Due to an increase in turnover we are looking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator at their Head Office in Ilkeston.
We are looking for a personable, confident individual as this role will be responsible for all aspects of administration for several key clients. Your core duties will include:
- Compile buying spreadsheets.
- Process and expedite outgoing orders.
- Be the first point of contact for all order related queries.
- Maintaining sufficient stock levels through purchasing channels.
- Carry out other reasonable general office duties as requested, eg filing.
We want to hear from you if you are passionate about delivering high levels of customer service.
- Be highly organised.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have experience of working with Sage 200 (or other order processing and invoicing systems).
- Be a confident user of Microsoft Office products with a high skill level in MS Excel.
- Experience equivalent to two years’ buying experience.
- Have a professional and confident telephone manner.
- Have the ability to work accurately at speed in a fast paced environment
- Be able to work well within a small team yet be able to work using their own initiative.
- Be hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, motivated, committed and loyal.
- Be able to manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines.
This is a full-time role (39hrs) working from 8.00am to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday in a small and friendly team, other hours may be considered. In return we will pay you a competitive rate of pay dependent upon experience, 20 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays).
