**What does this corker of a job entail?**
We are excited to announce an opening for a Production Planner, a role that is vital to our Supply Chain function. This position is perfect for someone who is adept at balancing various elements of production planning to meet and exceed our business needs.
- **Strategic Production Planning**: Generate daily and weekly production plans for two filling halls, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and capacity.
- **Effective Communication & Coordination**: Collaborate across departments, ensuring timely arrival of components and working closely with demand management stakeholders to exceed service level targets.
- **Prioritisation and Efficiency**: Manage competing priorities effectively, maximise throughput, minimise waste, and reduce costs related to demurrage and detention.
- **Total Control of Short-Term Production Plan**: Take complete charge of the short-term planning to ensure smooth operations.
- **Maximise Line Utilisation**:Align operations with organisational OEE targets to maximise productivity.
- **Efficient Planning for Stock Holding Targets**: Create plans that effectively manage finished goods stock.
- **Internal Collaboration**: Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues and find pragmatic solutions against time-sensitive requirements.
- **Data Management and Review**: Maintain, update, and review master data crucial for the planning function.
- **Meeting Leadership**: Lead regular meetings with key stakeholders to ensure efficient communication and execution of the plan
**Key Ingredients**
- **People and Process Management**: Strong skills in managing people and processes.
- **Effective Communicator**:Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- **Planning Experience**:Essential experience in planning, with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- **Technical Proficiency**:High competency in Excel and ideally knowledge of SAP, specifically SAP APO.
- **LEAN Manufacturing Understanding**:Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing processes.
- **FMCG Environment Experience**: Experience in an FMCG environment is an advantage.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
