A great opportunity has arisen to join Suffolk County Council's Lowestoft and Waveney Health and Children's Centre Team as a **Support and Information Officer** working at either **Kirkley Family Hub (Post 1) **or **Village Rise Family Hub (Post 2). **Both posts are on a **Peripatetic basis to ensure cover across Lowestoft where required**.

**Your role and responsibilities**

You will:

- support the team with administration and initial face-to-face contact
- work with the Health and Children's Centre Service to promote the social, emotional, physical and intellectual wellbeing of children from pregnancy to 5 years
- deliver the Healthy Child Programme through the Children's Centre Statutory Framework.
- provide information, guidance and advice to colleagues, partners and directly to children, young people and families to ensure they are enabled to achieve the best possible outcomes
- provide reception, general administration and facility management
- provide information, guidance and advice to colleagues, partners and directly to children, young people and families to ensure they are enabled to achieve the best possible outcomes
- be part of a team whose purpose is to meet the needs of children from pre-birth to 5 years and their families, supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child programme.

**You will need**:

- a suitable Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent experience or evidence of skills.
- a good level of communication skills (written and verbal)
- the ability to provide advice and information with clarity and impartiality to meet the needs of the recipient.
