We are responsible for engaging the public and the media on a wide variety of policing operations, from serious and violent crime to neighbourhood policing, producing news and appeals on all types of crime, working with the best documentary makers in the countryand enhancing public confidence by developing engaging communications for diverse communities across our 10 districts.
We engage with the public and delivering two-way conversations, we work to build public, staff and stakeholder trust and confidence by making sure people are informed and involved.
The Role
We are recruiting to the post of Staff Engagement and Internal Communications Team Leader to support the development of GMPs Staff Engagement & Internal Communications Strategies and to co-ordinate delivery of a staff engagement and internal communication frameworkand plans.
This involves delivering activity including co-ordinating an annual survey, pulse surveys and focus groups and evaluating engagement approaches to enable improvements to staff engagement and communication.
The post-holder will line-manage a number of officers who are responsible for conducting, coordinating and measuring staff engagement activity across the organisation, and will provide advice and consultancy to senior leaders on the views and feelings of staff,both in general and to specific issues.
The post-holder will support new and innovative ways for GMP to engage with our officers and staff to ensure that staff voice is listed to and considered in decision making and will co-ordinate internal communications channels to ensure that strategic directionand key improvements and successes are effectively communicated.
