Full time (37.5 hours per week) - Flexible working hours

£28,000 per annum - with the potential for a bonus payment on achievement of exceptional results

**Introduction to Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI)**

Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI) supports people experiencing barriers to inclusion to make a contribution to their community.

We operate a wide range of programmes and social enterprises that give our participants opportunities to work as part of a team and to use their experience to learn new skills, improve their health and well-being and develop their confidence.

We work with people who face inequalities and barriers to inclusion due to long term health conditions, disability, social disadvantage and young people at risk. More than 100 people referred through a range of health and social care agencies attend our programmes each week.

Current programmes and social enterprises include: Langloch Visitor Centre including our kitchen and tearoom, Food growing for the Clydesdale Foodbank, Environmental projects for towns and villages across Clydesdale, Woodwork and Furniture Making, Langloch Botanics producing handmade soaps and botanics.

**The role of the Events & Community Fundraising Officer**

As an independent charity we currently generate the income needed to support our participants largely through our social enterprises and grants. While our social enterprises are performing exceptionally well the traditional funding environment is extremely challenging and the board of directors are actively looking for new income streams through public and corporate donations.

Events & Community Fundraising Officer will be responsible for designing and delivering a series of fundraising events and recruiting corporate and community doners with the core aim of generating income to support the work of the charity. Supported by the Managing Director and the Fundraising sub-committee of the board of directors the primary targets for the post holder will include:

- Organising and delivering an annual Gala Ball for potential donors
- Organising and delivering sponsorship events involving CCI participants and supporters.
- Ongoing recruitment of corporate sponsors
- Ongoing recruitment of regular donations from public patrons
- Other events and schemes that will open new and alternative income streams for the charity

It is essential that the Events & Community Fundraising Officer is able to work on their own initiative and able to take responsibility for all aspects of the design and delivery of events including:

- In consultation the Fundraising sub-committee of the board of directors create and develop a diverse and exciting programme of fundraising events
- Create detailed event plans and income and expenditure budgets for each fundraising event, and lead on event delivery.
- Ensure that all events are adequately risk assessed and comply with any relevant legislation.
- Maximise on marketing opportunities, developing appropriate materials to market each event and to communicate with existing and prospective supporters.
- Research opportunities for event sponsorship and corporate and public donor engagement opportunities.
- Actively recruit new long term corporate and community sponsors
- Evaluate each event, identifying successes and areas of improvement and reporting these to the Fundraising sub-committee.
- Ensure that Events and Community fundraising activity is adequately covered on the website, through social media, and across other sector forums.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the aims and objectives of Clydesdale Community Initiatives

Skills and Experience
- Natural problem solver with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable to work with mínimal supervision, but as part of a team.
- Preferred experience in fundraising and/or event delivery.
- Experience using fundraising platforms e.g. JustGiving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in use of Office 365 including Excel and Word.
- Effective at building relationships with people

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
