**About the Female Recovery Navigator role**:
As our** **Recovery Navigator you will focus on providing appropriate, effective interventions and treatments to people with long term mental health needs, and their carers (including friends and relatives) and their supporters in the community, enabling and assisting them to meet daily health, social care and well being needs, in line with personal recovery goals, and facilitating engagement with mainstream services.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Female Recovery Navigator**:

- Building trusting and collaborative relationships with the service users.
- Co-producing, implementing and reviewing recovery plans, crisis plans and other self-management tools e.g. Wellness Recovery Action Plan, in partnership with service users in line with best practice.
- Case managing and co-ordinating support, referring and liaising effectively with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in service user’s support in order to deliver the support package. Working closely with colleagues within the service and build strong partnership working with other agencies such as Health and Social Care, Voluntary and Community Service. Support/ facilitate service users to access services.
- Identifying, assessing, contributing, maintaining feedback and managing risk to ensure risk is minimised. Working in a safe manner using a positive risk-taking approach, ensuring the health and safety policies of Second Step and Missing Link are implemented and fully adhered to, to ensure all safeguarding issues are properly managed.

**What we are looking for in our ideal Female Recovery Navigator**:

- Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level/NVQ 2 or equivalent
- Proven knowledge of support needs of people with mental health needs.
- Proven knowledge of health and safety issues, especially those relevant to mental health
- Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people
- Knowledge and understanding of the particular needs of working with vulnerable women
- Proven experience of working with victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence
- Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process
- A current, full driving licence and access to appropriate motorised vehicular transport (such as a car, moped or motorbike) (desirable)
