**About the role**:
As our Female Assistant Recovery Navigator, you will be part of the Community Rehabilitation Services (based at Wellbridge House in Brentry) and you will need to work collaboratively and in partnership with these agencies as one team. The service operates in the community and is provided by Missing Link, in partnership with Second Step and the Avon and Wiltshire NHS Partnership Trust (AWP).

The Community Rehabilitation Service specialises in working with people with long-term mental health and complex needs. Its focus is on supporting people to gain the skills and confidence to live as independently as possible in the community, by providing specialist assessment, treatment and interventions for every individual. The service has high expectations of recovery for everyone it supports.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Female Assistant Recovery Navigator**:

- Ensure that the service is warm, welcoming and safe
- Provide appropriate, effective interventions and treatments to people with long term mental health needs, and their carers (including friends and relatives) and their supporters in the community
- Enable and assist users to meet daily health, social care and well being needs, in line with personal recovery goals, and facilitating engagement with mainstream services
- Work with identified service users alongside the rest of the Community Rehabilitation service including ongoing assessment of needs, goals and aspirations, working within agreed plans of support and supporting service users
- Contribute to regular reviews of these plans with service users to ensure that they are supporting their recovery and increasing independence
- Work on a rota within the Accommodation Hub, as part of a team providing 24 hour cover to the service. The rota will be made up of shifts that will include day and night cover during with week and on weekends. The rota will be flexible to meet the needs of the service and service users.

**What we are looking for in our ideal Female Assistant Recovery Navigator**:

- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the support needs of people with mental health needs, or people with complex and multiple needs (for example, homelessness, alcohol/drug dependency, long term conditions, domestic abuse and sexual violence)
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of support planning and risk assessment. Accurate and timely recording, Confidentiality and Data Protection.
- The ability to maintain hope and optimism for the individual with high expectations for recovery and to be able to demonstrate an ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships with Missing Link, service users and other agencies. Be able to assist service users in making informed decisions around their mental wellbeing.
- Able to demonstrate ability to work alone and as part of a team, working with customers and managing own time effectively and making best use of personal development and training.
