Plymouth is one of the government dispersal cities where asylum seekers are dispersed on no choice basis. This casework role is to be part of the team that responds to the needs of asylum, seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants in Plymouth. There are currently a lot of gaps in the provision of asylum casework to support people navigating through the asylum process. The team provides casework, destitution and emotional support to refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants, many of whom are experiencing social isolation, trauma and separation while trying to navigate complex legal systems. This role will help us continue our effort to provide face to face advice.

You have strong presentation and facilitation skills
- You have experience of supporting or working refugees or other vulnerable service users
- You have an understanding of issues relating to asylum seekers and refugees

- You're able to support, manage and develop volunteers (previous experience of managing volunteers would be an advantage).
