**How you'll make a difference**:
You will make a difference as a Commissioning officer by building strong partnerships with social care, housing and health service providers commissioned by the Council to help improve the provision of care and support for people living in South Gloucestershire.

**What will you be doing?**
- On a daily basis, you will be expected to liaise with Care Providers, Social Workers, Brokerage and Commissioning colleagues to resolve any queries and ensure professionals receive appropriate Quality Assurance support and guidance, relating to policies, procedures and processes.
- You will be working across the Partnerships and Commissioning Team supporting a number of teams on a weekly basis (including, Care Homes, Specialist and Community Based Support Teams).
- You will ensure information systems and databases transactions are maintained and updated accurately.
- It will be key for you to compile written reports, provide support and ensure records are completed accurately which will help to inform decision making.
- You may be required to support the Commissioning Officer in carrying out site visits to a Care Provider to assess quality of care provided and contribute to an action plan if there are areas that need improvement.

**What we need from you**:

- You should have experience with undertaking multi-agency working.
- You will have good attention to detail, the ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise between conflicting demands.
- You will be competent using database systems and Microsoft programmes such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
- You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
