Legal Support Assistant

Responsibilities:

- File and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Assist with drafting and writing legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Maintain and update case files and databases
- Prepare and proofread legal documents for accuracy
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars and scheduling appointments
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a legal environment is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain confidentiality
