**What you’ll be doing**
As a Regional Security Advisor you will be directing and controlling the performance of physical security within a specific geographic area and ensuring some of our critical assets are secure. You will be the link between our regulators guidance and the business,liaising with external agencies on a regular basis. An ambassador for promoting security within the business to ensure Thames Water’s people, processes, premises and assets’ security is maintained. Your core duties will include:

- Conducting security investigations and security risk assessments across our estate
- Creating reports, providing briefings and updating systems
- Facilitating briefings/audits by external agencies
- Management of security specialist, providing ongoing training and support and 1-2-1 reviews
- Attending senior risk review boards, developing briefing materials (slide decks) for senior business leaders
- Liaising with specialist police units
- Testing and exercising of our security arrangements and report successful outcomes to Defra
- Planning and responsibility for bespoke security projects which will involve working with project teams to oversee security upgrades
- £46,000 to £47,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
- £4,500 car allowance
- You can be based at any Thames Water site within the Thames Valley region
- This is a Hybrid role, split between site visits, office and home
- Travel will be required across the whole of the Thames Water estate
- 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- This is a Full-Time position

**We’re looking for you to**:

- Have experience in a physical security role at supervisor level
- Have experience of working in a regulated environment i.e. utilities, government department, national infrastructure etc
- Have an understanding of physical security principles, methodology and processes
- Have experience of conducting security risk assessments and report writing
- Have experience of investigating security incidents
- Be able to communicate at all levels, present to an audience and build strong relationships
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and strong negotiation and people influencing skills
- Be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power Bi)
