Essex Adult Community Learning is continuously looking for ways to improve to further enhance customer focus, quality of service, with the views to becoming a lead provider of learning for the people of Essex and beyond. The Apprentice Customer Services Assistant will deliver high quality reception duties, providing information to adult learners and customers. Maintaining electronic records and processing enrolments and registrations.

**For this position you will be studying towards a Customer Service Level 2 qualification via Adult Community Learning (ACL).**

**The starting salary will be the National Apprenticeship Wage, £4.81 per hour. After 12 months service the salary will increase to National Living Wage (currently £9.50 per hour).**

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Deliver high quality “first point of contact” customer services, to positively promote ACL, by efficiently handling customer enquiries and providing information, advice and guidance.
- Positively promote service activities by efficiently handling customer enquiries to provide information.
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing of enrolments and registrations to deliver excellent customer service in line with defined procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date, secure records on electronic systems, accurately recording data onto TERMS.
- Adhere to quality assurance processes, responsible for the collection and recording of all relevant documentary evidence, required for audit purposes.Responsible for collection, receipt and security of monies and payment systems to contribute to the effective processing of income and expenditure.

**Knowledge, skills and experience**
- Good working knowledge of IT, and in particular Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn to new systems
- Good administration skills, or ability to learn new administration skills
- Ability to work accurately to input data, or ability to learn input of data
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Qualification certificates should be brought to interview.
