My client is a highly regarded patent and trademark firm. With offices in the UK and Europe, their leading teams of IP professionals provide excellent legal services to their esteemed cliental. The continued success of the firm has led them to expandingtheir team of support staff and they are now looking to appoint a Trainee Patent Secretary.
This exciting and important role offers the opportunity for someone with at least two years’ secretarial experience working within professional services to develop their career as a Patent Secretary within a renowned intellectual property firm.
You will be provided with full training in every aspect of the role from the producing documents, operating the firms document management system, to transcribing dictation, along with other general secretarial duties. Within the role you will receive work fromthe firms Attorneys. The role provides a great opportunity for career development after the completion of your training.
Once you have completed training, you will work either for individual members of the firm, or as a member in one of the teams. You will then have additional duties including producing European Patent Office forms, as well as handling Fee Earners WIP and invoicerequests, you will also produce work from dictations and manuscripts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Producing documents
- Transcribing dictation
- Operating the firms document management system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Producing European Patent Office and UK Patent Office forms

**Personal Specification**:

- Minimum two years secretarial experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Work well in a team and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Proficient in Microsoft office and Inprotech
