Our Walthamstow service is not a usual drug and alcohol service; it is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging service users and their families in their recovery.

Our service is multi-disciplinary, that consist of a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, health care assistants, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators and peer mentors, all focused on bringing the individuals using our services the best possible support & interventions.

**Hours**: 24 hrs per week.

**Salary**:£26,393.77 to £30,316.74(pro rata) Plus Outer London Weighting (£2,080.07 - pro rata)

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Ensure that telephone calls from outside agencies, clients and internal staff are dealt with promptly and courteously, transferring calls to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Ensuring that you provide a safe space for the people you will support, enabling them to express their thoughts.
- Working with management to create and plan public relations strategies events and attending those events to promote service in community and with stakeholders.
- Monitoring and responding to feedback from stakeholders and the public about the issues and concerns with Rough Sleepers.
- Developing and disseminating public relations materials that increase visibility among stakeholders and local community.
- To provide screening and initial assessment of need for service users across Services leading to the completion of a contact assessment.
- To support the assessment process using a strength-based approach, by gathering information, including risk factors, as required.

**About you**:

- Experience of working with Vulnerable disadvantaged individuals.
- Knowledge of Local Community Services: Voluntary sector, Local Council, Independent sector provision, Leisure services and Community centres.
- Awareness of Adult Protection Policy and action to be taken when concerns are raised.
- An understanding of why promoting service user choice, independence and control is important.
- Able to work in an anti-discriminatory way with service users, carers and colleagues.
- Ability to identify and manage health and safety risk factors.
- Flexible and responsive to change, evaluating and formulating solutions
