To demonstrate clinical expertise via interventions, supervision and modelling good practice. To ensure that the team comply with the agreed timescales for the service in relation to the assessments of service users and report any breaches to the OSM. To work with the team and support the OSM in developing Clinical Pathways and Liaison Protocols including those relating to dementia, substance misuse, self-harm and functional illness. To promote collaborative and multidisciplinary team working They will demonstrate a lead role in the maintenance of a learning environment receiving and assisting with the delivery of training to colleagues within the Acute Trust.

To complete assessment of mental health needs for people referred to the team. These will include people presenting with both functional and organic problems. To lead on complex assessments that may be referred to the Liaison Service. To support more junior staff members in developing and enhancing clinical skill through role modelling.

Act as lead clinicians with a specialised area with the acute hospital enhancing collaborative working.
