**Community Enteral Health Care Assistant**

**Full-time, 1-Year Fixed Term Contract**

**Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm**

**£24,000 per annum + 45p per mile**

Are you an experienced Enteral Health Care Assistant, passionate about delivering a gold-standard service to patients receiving enteral care? If yes, then we have the job for you. Here at Bionical Solutions, we are looking for a patient-focused Health Care Assistant to join our team as a Community Enteral Health Care Assistant. In the role you will be empowering newly referred NHS patients to manage their enteral feeding within the comfort of their own homes, as well as upskilling care workers to support PEG and NG tube fed patients.

**Your role as a Community Enteral Health Care Assistant**
- This is an autonomous role where you will manage your own diary and patient case load to ensure patient requirements are fulfilled
- You will be working with patients to coach and train them to effectively manage their own enteral care
- You will be communicating with patients to highlight and overcome any mental barriers and concerns they are experiencing, as well as providing information around hygiene and infection control
- You will be troubleshooting any problems the patient may be facing with the pump both in person or over the phone/video call, and doing NG tube changes when required

**Your skills and experience**
- Previous experience within the care sector and ability to demonstrate a friendly and approachable nature
- Problem solving skills and a flexible 'can-do' attitude
- Be passionate about putting patients first
- Enteral Nursing experience would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to confidently liaise with patients, families and healthcare practitioners
- Be independent, self-motivated and able to manage your own diary with mínimal supervision

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £23,500.00-£24,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- A-Level or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Home Care: 2 years (required)
