**Salary**: £21K - £24K FTE

**Hours**: Part-time 15 hours per week

**Holidays**: 10 days (FTE 25 days), plus 8 statutory days (pro rata)

**Contract**: Permanent

**BACKGROUND**

The Local Authority has commissioned Your Voice in Health & Social Care (YVHSC) to deliver Healthwatch Tower Hamlets. Healthwatch is the main public and patient engagement mechanism for health and social care users. National guidance and a range of local engagement activities have helped to develop outputs for Healthwatch Tower Hamlets in order to improve outcomes for local people.

Healthwatch will include championing the health and social care needs of adults and children in Tower Hamlets, acting as an independent local voice ensuring that services meet the needs and remain high-quality and fit-for-purpose. Representing the views and experiences of local people, including children and young people and help communities to exercise greater choice over the services they receive. Healthwatch Tower Hamlets will have a visible presence in the borough, with an effective, proactive and independent local voice.

Enter & View

Enter & View is a statutory power conferred upon Healthwatch by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. It allows our authorised Enter & View Representatives to enter and view any publicly funded health and social care services in the borough, to collect the views of service users, carers and relatives at the point of delivery. These visits can be agreed in advance with the service we are visiting or can be unannounced spot checks.

**JOB SUMMARY**

This is a hybrid role, encompassing both face-to-face visits to locations across the borough, alongside office-based aspects that may, at times, be delivered remotely and virtually.

The Enter & View Officer post is a key delivery role within Healthwatch Tower Hamlets. The role will lead delivery of our Enter & View programmes, ensuring the development and delivery of quality and meaningful pieces of work that have maximum impact and improve health and social care services for local people.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Enter & View**

1. To lead the planning and delivery of Enter & View visits to health and social care services.

2. To analyse key data sets, strategic plans and community and patient experience feedback and intelligence to inform and guide an annual Enter & View programme and individual Enter & View visits.

3. To work with the local committee, Integrated Care Board, Integrated Care System and
Local Authority partners, and others, to plan and align Enter & View visits with local needs and strategic drivers.

4. To design and produce planning documentation, including developing survey tools, questionnaires, telephone and one-to-one interviews to utilise during Enter & View visits.

5. To maintain robust systems for collating, analysing and interpreting patient and resident feedback from Enter & View visits including: designing and maintaining relevant spreadsheets, databases and analysis tools

6. To lead and support the design and writing of Enter & View reports and presentations.

7. To train, support and supervise Healthwatch Tower Hamlets volunteers and interns to participate in and support Enter & View visits, from planning and visits, to report writing and presentation.

8. To liaise with colleagues across the organisation and within other local Healthwatch to share and develop good practice with regards to Enter & View.

9. To build relationships with key stakeholders including commissioners and providers, statutory and community and voluntary sector partners to support successful planning, implementation and impact of Enter & View Visits and resulting reports and recommendations.

10. To attend partnership meetings in order to promote our Enter & View programmes, present reports and findings and pursue impact.

**Communications and promotion**

11. Produce engaging and accessible communications materials (eg posters) to promote Enter & View visits, including copy writing content appropriate to diverse audiences, and proofreading/quality checking.

12. Design accessible, effective and impactful Enter & View reports, report summaries, infographic documents, presentations and social media headers to raise awareness of Healthwatch, engage with diverse communities and promote findings of Enter & View work.

13. Utilise Healthwatch England resources, brand guidance and materials to deliver professional, effective communications, reports and promotional materials.

14. Maximise utilisation of the HWTH website and social media accounts to promote the work of HWTH and the Enter & View programme.
