Health & Safety Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has become available for a SHQ Technician based in Bootle, Liverpool.
Reporting to the senior management team, the role encompasses maintaining safe working practices, auditing and assessments, management of staff training and other essential health and safety roles within the business.
Dowhigh are an established business within the Liverpool area who have been trading since 1975 and are contractors for many of the local councils and authorities across the North West.
- Accident Recording
- Accident Reporting (internal and HSE)
- Accident Investigating
- Collating health and safety site monitoring files
- Populate Construction Phase Plan
- Populate site specific RAMS
- F10 notifications to HSE
- Support with completion of Constructionline, CHAS and Safe Contractor
- First Aider
- Fire Marshall
- Collate non-conformance spreadsheet including customer complaints
- Customer Satisfaction monitoring
- Collate spreadsheets for near miss, audit findings and accidents stats
- Workshop safety inspections (monthly)
- Maintain training matrix and individual competency files
- Source and book all company training
- COSHH assessments
- Annual DSE assessments
- New starter inductions and induction packs
- Assistance with external audits
- Completing site audits on a weekly basis
- PPE issue and control
- Corporate workwear issue and control
- Face Fit Testing
- Attend client site meetings, taking meeting minutes
- Potentially have some involvement with PQQ/Tender submissions
- Participate in external audits from clients, certifying bodies and authorities.
- Lead First Aider and Fire Marshall Responsibilities (including weekly fire alarm testing and fire evacuation)
- Attending Pre-Start Meetings
- Toolbox Talks
**Qualifications**:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- NEBOSH General Certificate (as a min)
- NEBOSH in Construction (desirable)
- IOSH Membership
- First Aider (desirable)
- Fire Marshal (desirable)
- Face Fit Testing (desirable)
- Internal Auditing (desirable)
- Experience with relevant standards 9001, 45001 and Sector 16
