The new Building Safety Regulator (BSR) sits within HSE and is responsible for implementing a new regulatory regime and strategy for higher-risk residential buildings in England. The BSR oversees the safety and performance of the wider built environment, driving cultural change and increasing the competence of the building control profession.

We are now looking for a Case Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

**The Role**

As a Case Officer, you will manage a caseload high risk buildings, ensuring their safety and suitability for occupation.

Your role will be to ensure the safety of residents within high risk buildings and also to ensure that building controls are in place for new buildings. You will ensure that all buildings within your remit are designed, built and certified to BRC standards.

Supporting Multi-Disciplinary Team Leads, you will act as the interface between teams, bringing regulatory partners together to support BRC activity. This will include building, structural and fire safety specialists.

Additionally, you will:

- Undertake site visits
- Interact with residents to collect relevant material

**About You**

To be considered as a Case Officer, you will need:

- Experience in completing case work or account management in any field
- Experience using judgement and initiative to handle cases, identifying areas for action, decisions by others, and opportunities to improve practices
- The ability to provide good customer service to all parties
- The ability to manage your workload, making broadly independent decisions about cases and priorities
