About the role
This is an exciting time to join the Discharge and Review team. We are a new local authority, created in April 2021. We're at the beginning of our journey of shaping what the Discharge and Review Team looks like at West Northants Council, so there is plenty of opportunity to develop processes, and shape our offering so we can provide the best possible service to our colleagues in Adult Social Care.

What will you be doing?
Working closely alongside our colleagues in Discharge and Review Team.

Serve as a primary contact for the public and various stakeholders.

Facilitate communication between the NHS CHC team and the Council.

Participate in team transition initiatives.

Distribute cases to social workers based on their workload.

Assist Service managers and team managers with recruitment and significant projects.

Aid service managers in successfully implementing the pay and grading project.

Provide business support during weekly budget meetings.

Step into the senior business support role when required.

Manage invoice processing.

Record meeting minutes.

About you
You don’t need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but you will need experience of Microsoft Office skills as well as an adaptive nature to use multiple systems effectively. as this is the central to the role.

You’ll need to have a solutions driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges

Ideally you will have previous experience of customer service with experience of dealing with incoming calls both externally and internally. You will be able to smoothly manage CHC processes whilst being able use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure meetings are set up correctly and customers information is added correctly.

If you’ve got experience within excel, that’s great, but not essential; being adept at building relationships with key hiring managers and quickly developing an understanding of the processes are most important.
