SEN Teaching Assistant required for a permanent contract starting ASAP at one of our partner specialist schools local to you. This full time permanent role (08:30-4:30 Monday - Friday) supporting learners with high functioning ASC and Autism in a part residential setting for learners aged between 5 and 19 years. This school is the number 1 SEN school in the county with links with many settings across the UK. This school offers pioneering child development strategies and thinks outside the box when offering a child specific/led education. This school is a supportive and welcoming environment for parents, children and staff alike. There are currently 120+ learners on site with a high enrolment expected over the next academic year. This is a exciting opportunity for newly established TA's and experienced TA's.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning of the teacher
- Working 1:1 with students
- Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
- Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
- Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school

Key skills and experience needed:

- The ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs
- A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
- Experience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
- GSCE Maths and English
- Eligibility to work in the UK
