About the Role

The Assistant Headteacher for Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting (AHT: CAR) plays a key role in supporting the school leadership team in achieving our educational goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Leading the tracking and analysis of pupil progress, ensuring that all pupils make excellent progress
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to promote best practice and high-quality teaching
  • Ensuring that the school's curriculum and assessment processes are well-organised and efficient
  • Providing guidance and support to teachers and support staff to help them achieve their goals

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • 4 years teaching experience, including experience of teaching pupils with SEN
  • Expert understanding of innovative pedagogy and assessment systems
  • Experience of process management and leadership
