**Job Title: Highways Labourer**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Manual Labour**: Perform a variety of manual tasks such as digging, shovelling, lifting, and carrying materials to support road maintenance and construction activities.
- **Traffic Management**: Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic management systems, including cones, signs, and barriers, to ensure the safety of road users and work crews.
- **Surface Preparation**: Prepare work sites by clearing debris, vegetation, and other obstacles, as well as cleaning and sweeping surfaces in readiness for repair or construction work.
- **Material Handling**: Assist in loading and unloading materials, equipment, and tools from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and safe transportation on site.
- **Equipment Operation**: Operate small machinery and tools under supervision, such as jackhammers, compactors, and power drills, to assist with tasks as required.
- **Assistance to Skilled Workers**: Support skilled tradespeople, such as road workers, pavers, and construction workers, by providing assistance with tasks as directed.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, drivers, and equipment operators, to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient project completion.
