We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is both flexible and versatile in their approach to work to join our excellent and friendly admin team. The post involves constant communication with Patient Access Manager, Patients, Radiographers, Radiologists and colleagues to maintain an efficient and smooth running appointment booking service. You will need to be very organised, professional and assertive.

You will be responsible for booking patient appointments and discussing procedures and preparations, maintaining accurate data entry on the radiology computer system and patient administration system and answering and fielding phone calls from patients and staff.

The role of a Patient Access Administrator is to provide an efficient and high qualityappointment and administration service within the Imaging and NuclearMedicine Department. To utilise excellent time management, organisational andcommunication skills and an adaptable, flexible approach to produce work of a highstandard within expected targets. The Patient Access Administrator will not onlyneed to be able to work alone and use their own initiative but also as part of a largeteam of admin staff across the Imaging Department on all Brighton and SussexUniversity Hospital sites. It may therefore be necessary to ask the post holder towork on another site when the service demands this. The Patient AccessAdministrator must ensure patients are accurately registered and processed on theRadiology Information System (CRIS) and Patient Administration System (Oasis)and have the ability to book and schedule appointments on CRIS

The Trust asks all staff to attend a one day induction Programme.

Training will be undertaken locally.

You will occasionally be required to travel to all sites within University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust so access to your own transport is therefore desirable. A free bus service is available to all staff that travel between the Royal Sussex County and Princess Royal Hospitals. You may occasionally be asked to adjust your hours to meet the demands of the service.
