Macmillan Colorectal Cancer Clinical Support Worker

The Macmillan colorectal cancer nursing team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 4 Colorectal Cancer Clinical Support Workerto assist in providing high-quality personalised care to patients living with and beyond a diagnosis of colorectal cancer.
The role will include a mixture of patient contact, liaising across services, management of databases, and making appointments. The patient contact will include answering phone inquiries and contacting patients directly.
Colorectal Cancer Clinical support Worker will form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team approach in caring for the physical, social, and psychological needs of patients diagnosed with cancer and their carers throughout the care treatment pathway and after-care support.
You will work in close unison with the Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) and the MDT Coordinator for colorectal cancer to ensure the coordination and management of patients at all points of their treatment and will be able to signpost patients to support their self-management. You will be responsible for the management of IT systems that support the cancer pathway and be a key contact for patients.
